Hong Kong’s four-day wine and dine festival extravaganza
Central, Hong Kong: Asia’s largest food and wine festival – the Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival took place last weekend at the beautiful Central Harbourfront. More than 144,000 wine lovers and foodies attended the event, enjoying wine tastings from 23 countries and regions. Whisky and craft beers were the new features in this year’s Festival.
Every autumn, along with the refreshing breeze, Hong Kong features a whole month of indulgence with epicurean events from around the globe.
The event kicked off with a tipple of choice at the four-day CCB (Asia) Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival, which brings together world-class food, drinks and entertainment right next to the stunning Victoria Harbour skyline.
Aside from wine-pairing meals designed by master chefs and tasting classes by industry experts, there are more than 300 booths featuring everything from single malts to craft beer to keep festival-goers’ palates refreshed.
Afterwards, Hong Kong’s popular nightlife neighbourhoods danced and ate the night away with a medley of colourful street parties in celebration of the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Month. As well as hosting fun-packed carnivals and great entertainment, these hotspots also featured mouth-watering cuisine with special food and wine menus.
Participants also learnt from an internationally renowned wine critic and wine-themed tours before sitting down to enjoy fine vintages paired with the creations of Hong Kong’s culinary wizards.
