The best of British… heritage


Melbourne, Australia: Few things in life surpass the sheer delight of watching a top line movie in Gold Class comfort and luxury, but Mini Garage Melbourne recently took the movie viewing experience to dizzy new heights.

With the Mini forever associated with action drama through the original vehicle’s starring role in The Italian Job (1969) and the modern Mini’s appearance in the 2003 remake, Mini Garage Melbourne held VIP event in a sound stage at Docklands Studios to officially celebrate the arrival of this newest member of the MINI family.


In a nod to the MINI’s British heritage, the sound stage had been turned into a theatre, showing the recently released spy action comedy, Kingsman: The Secret Service starring Colin Firth, Samuel L Jackson and Michael Caine.

Open only to Mini Garage Melbourne customers, the exclusive evening kicked off with a lavish spread, featuring some of Melbourne’s finest street food vendors. The quality, taste and variety was superb, as were the vast range of beverages served close by in the pop up bar.

Following dinner, guests were able to learn all about the five-door Mini via a short but informative presentation by before being invited to explore the car first hand.

With the formalities over, guests were ushered to their seats – giant bean bags for couples and deck chairs for singles, with the food and beverage continuing to flow.


The night was a great success, with guests clearly delighted by event. One guest who spoke to Prodijee summed up the event perfectly: “The innovation so evident in Mini Garage Melbourne’s approach to client appreciation programs shows they really care about their customers.”
