Since 2005 the McGrath Foundation has placed 105 McGrath Breast Care nurses in Australia and supported over 36,000 Australian families.
For the past five years the McGrath Foundation’s Pull On Your Socks campaign has traditionally encouraged sports teams to add a splash of colour to their game by wearing the McGrath Foundation’s pink socks.
This year, for the first time, the McGrath Foundation has created a brand new range of hot pink socks designed to match your personality that can be worn every day. While the gap at the bottom of your pants isn’t significant in size, it is significant in what it says about you.
Style maker, Neale Whitaker said; “Clothes may make the man, but it’s the socks you rock that reveal your true colours.”
The 2016 Pull On Your Socks campaign features a unique range of socks to help you show off your personality and support the McGrath Foundation. Through this initiative, the foundation aim to raise much needed funds to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in the community to support patients and their families experiencing breast cancer.
It costs around $380,000 to fund a McGrath Breast Care Nurse in a full time position for three years and there are 43 people diagnosed with breast cancer each day. The McGrath Foundation is encouraging Australians to purchase a pair of pink socks and host a Pull On Your Socks Day fundraiser on May 20 to help support families experiencing breast cancer.
There are three different sock designs available, each saying a little something about you. Whether it’s cheeky stripes, more traditional argyle or risk taking polka dots these socks will suit every personality.
Argyle: For the traditionalist who believes true style is about subtlety and who wouldn’t be caught dead in a novelty sock.
Stripes: For the individual who’s professional up top but a little bit cheeky underneath.
Polka-dots: For the risk-taker who loves challenging the status quo and has a good time doing it.
Everyday socks can be purchased for $15 per pair (+ postage) or $35 for a pack of three. Sports socks are available for $15 per pair (+ postage) or $12 when 20 or more for a team are purchased.
