MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: Mahalo Poké has landed in Swan Street, Richmond, with a fresh selection of Hawaiian-Japanese breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Launched by the team from neighbour Botherambo, Mahalo Poké’s new location follows on from a successful takeaway launch in late 2016 via UberEATS.

Mahalo Poké’s combination of Hawaiian-Japanese flavours with healthy, fresh and vibrant ingredients creates customisable, compact and delicious dishes. Diners can expect signature poke bowls, including Spicy Salmon with pickled ginger, corn, edamame, ka’ukama, carrot, purple cabbage, volcano ponzu and soy tahini sauce.

Breakfast-goers will enjoy the likes of the Hula Waffle with pure maple, bacon, house icecream and macadamia crumble, as well as twists on classic breakfast dishes, like the Aloha Smashed Avocado with togarashi and jalapeno tomato salsa on sourdough. Dinner options include The Big Kahuna Burger with buttermilk fried chicken, pineapple, bacon, apple cabbage, wasabi slaw on a Hawaiian sweet bun.

Poke lovers can find Mahalo Poké a stone’s throw from sister venue Botherambo, where owner Nathan Peck has cemented a loyal following for the Thai cuisine served up by head chef Kim Maree Moore. Kim is also leading the Mahalo Poké kitchen and has created the menu, which was an instant hit on UberEATS.

Nathan said the demand on UberEATS surpassed all their expectations, which spurred on the demand for a permanent venue. “With this new venue we can now offer a larger menu which can still be ordered via UberEATS, or enjoyed in our fresh and breezy interior which is fresh and fun,” he said.
