Melbourne, Australia: Love will literally be in the air this Valentine’s Day as couples flock to Melbourne’s Eureka Skydeck to celebrate the year’s most romantic day.
Located on the 88th floor of Eureka Tower, the Skydeck is the highest public vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere. Located on the 88th floor of Eureka Tower, the observation deck provides patrons with 360 degree floor-to-ceiling views of Melbourne and beyond.
After the sun sets over Melbourne, the Skydeck becomes one of the most romantic spots in the city and has proven to be a popular place for marriage proposals.
Love birds visiting Eureka Skydeck will be greeted by a giant LOVE sign, before being whisked up the elevator to relish in the breathtaking 360 degree, floor-to-ceiling views of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Albert Park Lake, the CBD, the Dandenong Ranges, and beyond.
Delicious daiquiris will be served at the kiosk, and a roving photographer will be present to capture couples in love, with the experience to be posted online for customers to find and tag themselves (from 7.30pm).
Couples looking for an adventure can choose to appreciate Melbourne through the world’s only Edge experience – a three-metre by three-metre transparent glass cube, which slides out from the building, suspending those inside 285 metres above the city.
During Valentine’s Day guests will also be able to take full advantage of:
* The Outdoor Terrace – Enclosed by a wire grid, the Outdoor Terrace exposes guests to the elements on Level 88. The Terrace is right next to the Edge, so family and friends can view those inside.
* The Walk Experience – Is an illusory green screen activation that set allows guests to imagine what it’s like to tightrope walk from one point of Eureka Tower to the other as they cross a simulated tightrope – suspended high above the city of Melbourne.
Eureka Skydeck operates from 10am to 10pm daily (last entry 9:30pm), with no bookings necessary.
