Levantine Hill in the Yarra Valley Victoria.
When you are on a good thing – stick to it!
Quite an adept saying when applied to one of my favourite wineries – Levantine Hill.
I decided that when I headed out to Levantine Hill at Coldstream in Victoria’s Yarra Valley, I would treat myself to a variety of blends whist there, I have already reviewed the 2014 Syrah, now it was time to treat my taste buds to:
Levantine Hill 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon
Treating this wine with respect, I utilized my decanting funnel and aerator as well as letting it breathe naturally. The ruby deep red colours were beautiful to see swirling around the decanter and the aromas of berry, cedar and chocolate wafted in the air around.
The taste was a real treat for the taste buds and deepened as I made my way through the first glass displaying a still young but medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with a beautiful vibrant pop to the palette.
A great wine to enjoy today as well as benefiting from cellaring up to 10 years – If I can wait that long for to enjoy the other bottle.
