Best burgers in town
Set back from the busy highway, The Oven Twist restaurant in Ringwood might be a little out of view for a discerning diner.
If you are looking for somewhere in the Ringwood area with great food, GET OUT OF EASTLAND, head slightly further east along Maroondah highway and you will come across this great little restaurant.
Located across the road from Ringwood Lake, this family owned business, which seats 70-80 patrons, serves a wide range of Modern Australian cuisine.
Offering breakfast until 2pm, a great range of burgers, tapas and other favourites such as parma and steak, as well as a good range of vegetarian and gluten-free options, The Oven Twist will have you wanting to go back for more.
We stumbled across this restaurant last week when we wanted a quick meal before an event at Spiegeltent, Eastland. I have a real dislike for Eastland shopping centre so will avoid going there at all costs, which is why, even though it was our end destination for the evening, I didn’t wish to dine there. One member of our group had seen The Oven Twist when driving by and suggested we give it a go – great recommendation!
We all ordered burgers of varying types and each of us said they were absolutely delicious. The chilli beef burger is worthy of being called a ‘chilli’ burger with the sauce having a definite burn to it, exactly what it should be. All burgers are served on a brioche bun that is light and slightly crispy on the outside. The beef in all burgers was moist with a delicious barbeque char and the boards on which each burger was served were piled high with delicious crispy beer battered fries.
I am looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu from this gem in Ringwood (already booked for breakfast this weekend), but if you are after what I consider to be the best burger in town I suggest you give The Oven Twist a try.
