Like sausage?
Munich Brauhaus are challenging you to the Ultimate Sausage Eating Competition!
Sausage lovers will get more than they bargained for at Munich Brauhaus and Bavarian Bier Café on Saturday 15th October, when the ultimate sausage eating competitions get underway.
The current record for sausage eating is held by a lovely New Zealander, who wolfed down eight whole sausages in one minute back in 2011. It’s five years later, and time to see if Australians can do any better!
Six contenders can take on the challenge across three heats at each location. Prizes include a $1000 dining voucher for contenders who beat the record and a $500 bar tab at each venue for the fastest time across the three heats. So put your sausage eating talents to the test during Oktoberfest!
When: Saturday 15 October, 2016 12pm-2:30pm
Where: Munich Brauhaus Melbourne

Onlookers can stay on afterwards to enjoy the five limited edition Oktoberfest biers, as well as the full Bavarian-inspired menus, including Munich Brauhaus and Bavarian Bier Café’s new range of haus-made Haute Sausages, which are gluten-free, free of artificial colours, fillers, hormones and antibiotics and made with natural casings. Think smoky bourbon BBQ Kielbasa, Pimenton Bratwurst, cheese, beef and pork Kransky, and the mouth-watering Sunday Night Roast Sizzler.
Or take the Schnitzelmeister challenge: devour a 1kg veal schnitzel plus side dishes in an hour to receive the meal for free. Over 475 customers have tried, but only seven completed the challenge.
