2018 expected to see understatement with minimalistic design

The Funkhaus Berlin opens its doors for the trade fair duo Greenshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin for the first time.

The international top players in the eco fashion segment presented their new collections for S/S 2018 in the Shedhalle on the Funkhaus exhibition site. A total of 180 labels provided an inspiring range of fashion.

The participating labels painted a fantastic picture, giving guests a superb overview of on-trend fashion in the new and extremely attractive location.

The move to the new location means that both Greenshowroom and the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin could expand their exhibition space. 40 international pioneers in contemporary fashion presented high-quality looks for next summer at Greenshowroom. The additional areas on the ground floor of the Shedhalle were occupied by the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin, which presented the biggest range of fashion in its history.

The platform was flanked by a Knowledge Lounge with renowned institutes and certifiers as well as a presentation area with three-day programme on the top floor of the Shedhalle.

The style-defining trends for next summer include new products in the Craft segment based on traditional craftsmanship coupled with contemporary design.

Athleisure is also becoming an important key word: sporty themes are increasingly being interpreted in a fashionable way. The focus is on a new understatement with minimalistic design that is characterised by details and high-quality materials. Colour prints and romantic all-over prints and lacing can also be seen and they dominate the collections for S/S 2018 in a rich variety of forms.
